🦴 Dog treat stations of Longfellow

The stations have become an increasingly common sight in the neighborhood, and come in all shapes and sizes.

Last year, Lisa Shaffer and Richard Maki were walking their Chihuahuas down 47th Avenue when they came across a bin of dog treats on the sidewalk.

It was a simple affair: A 36-ounce plastic jar of Milk-Bone Minis and a water dish. There were no instructions, but the implication was pretty clear: Grab a treat if you're walking by with a dog. After that day, the dogs pulled them in that direction whenever they got close. They came to refer to the block as "Treat Street."
