🌤️ Mid-September rundown
Details on this year's LoLa art crawl, encampment updates, neighborhood seed art, cheap breakfasts, a new gallery, and much more.

🎨 There will be more than 50 art shows across the neighborhood as part of the annual League of Longfellow Artists (LoLa) art crawl next weekend, September 20-21, from 10-4.
It's the marquee event of the volunteer-run group, which launched the crawl in 2009 and also puts on a winter show. The shows are scattered about the neighborhood, most in homes and backyards, some grouped together at stores.
You can find a PDF map here, and hard copies will be available at many neighborhood businesses. Or, just look for the colorful lawn signs. (Longfellow Whatever is proud to be a pillar sponsor of the 2025 LoLa Art Crawl.)

⛺ The city council held a special meeting on Monday to discuss a plan to bring legal action against Hamoudi Sabri, the owner of a long-vacant building at 2716 East Lake Street who has clashed with city officials after opening the building's parking lot as a homeless encampment.
