Full-strength weed is coming to Minnehaha Avenue.
Business partners John Sanchez and Bryant Jones have secured a preliminary dispensary license for a small retail shop at 38th and Minnehaha and plan to open this spring. Though various neighborhood shops sell low-dose, hemp-derived products, their H.D.S.P.M. Cannabis would be the first recreational cannbis dispensary in the neighborhood.
Background
John Sanchez grew up on East Lake Street, where his parents owned the restaurant La Que Buena at 16th and Lake, and a cowboy apparel store a block away. Today he owns a roofing and construction company, as well as some properties along East Lake, and operates a farm north of the Twin Cities.
