Longfellow Whatever x Paddle Bridge Tours: River Gorge Tour
Note: These are both sold out. Keep an ear out for more in the future!
Longfellow Whatever and Paddle Bridge Tours, a Longfellow-based kayak tour company, are teaming up to present a neighborhood-specific tour of the river gorge for Whatever readers.
What: I'll be a guest tour guide for Paddle Bridge's flagship kayak tour of the river gorge. The half-day tour takes you on the water from Bohemian Flats near the University of Minnesota, through Lock and Dam No. 1, and ends at Hidden Falls Regional Park in St. Paul. We'll talk about the past, present, and future of this national park in the neighborhood.
Where: The tour picks up and drops off at Sea Salt in Minnehaha Park. Afterward, I'll be sticking around Sea Salt for food and beer with anyone who wants to join.
When: Sunday July 20, or Saturday July 26. Both depart Sea Salt at 9 a.m., and will have you back between 1 and 2 p.m.
Who: Open to Longfellow Whatever readers. No previous paddling experience is necessary. All ages are welcome, as long as each kid is paired with a guardian. Each tour will be limited to 14 people.
